Hello and welcome to Torchcast 2020. We're here to give you a primer for what we'll be sharing with you in 2020. We really hope that listeners of all backgrounds will find our conversations about a common future, interesting and relevant. We're going to cover a variety of perspectives, including community leaders, technology visionaries and folks that are just really passionate about what they do.
[00:00:35] We're hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Shout out to our friends in Phoenix, and so a lot of our conversations are going to revolve around local businesses and organizations here. But as we travel around the world, we'll be interviewing many others who are aligned with our values. Some of the topics we'll be covering include sustainable infrastructure, transportation, food production, and energy.
[00:00:59] We'll also be talking about communication technology and artificial intelligence, which are core focus areas for many of our team members. As we talk about advancements in technology, we want to connect that conversation with how these technologies can be used to promote democracy, protect privacy, decrease the opportunity gap, and promote health and wellbeing of our fellow humans.
